reside at the very core of what Analog:Shift was built on.
Their function-over-form ethos, robust nature, and historical ties to a bygone time are qualities that modern pieces can only wish to live up to. The Merci LMM H-01 for HODINKEE however, might have something to say about that.
Blending traditional military watch elements with contemporary design, this LMM H-01 was a collaborative piece between the Paris-based concept retailer, Merci, and the horological media juggernaut, HODINKEE.
This piece features a 37.5mm stainless steel case with a stepped bezel, double domed mineral crystal, ‘holey’ lugs, an unsigned crown, and a grey dial that's more than meets the eyes.
The LMM-H01 model name positioned on the dial's upper half is treated to a traditional Helvetica typeface, while the applied Arabic numerals are displayed with Jonathan Hoefler's Decimal, a font specifically designed for vintage timepieces featured in an episode of "Abstract: The Art of Design" on Netflix. A circle 'H' pays tribute to the circle 'T' military hallmark and a matching blue handset rounds out the dial presentation.
Outfitted on a black NATO strap with stainless steel hardware, this piece is powered by a manual-wound ETA 2801-2 movement. Marked as a limited edition release, this piece is individually numbered and comes with its complete set of factory goods!
